How to get unstuck and live the life you want in 5 steps

Woman looking out of the window

Did you always imagine a happy life for yourself when you were young?

Did you imagine you were in a job you loved, in a relationship that brought you joy, had time to do the things you have a passion for and life was a success?

We must have all had those dreams, and I for sure did, then you grow up and realize life isn’t so easy, and it’s f**kin hard if we are all honest!

Life struggles can all of a sudden creep up on us, and for me, I was feeling all of the below:

  • I had hit a wall and life was just unfulfilling

  • I felt my career was going nowhere, and I was bored and again was feeling unfulfilled

  • The relationships around me were a constant struggle, with argument after arguments

  • And I was stressed and unhappy with day-to-day life

Do these sound familiar to you?
Are you feeling some of these right now and haven’t a clue what to do?

It’s OK you’re not alone, seriously you are not alone! Millions of people are feeling this right now, but only a few have the courage to change or even take the next step to change. You are reading this, so for sure you are one of the few with the courage to want to change.

So here is what really matters.

You can improve the quality of your life and get unstuck and start to live a life that is fun, exciting, and at last fulfilling!

So here are my 5 steps that will help you, but remember you need motivation and willingness, and with these steps, you will start to live the life that you really want.

Ready? So let’s start.

1. What’s the real root of the issue or problem?

You won't be able to get unstuck unless you first figure out what the problem is and why it’s happening.

So the first step is to take the time to self-reflect, this is essential for you to move towards getting unstuck because the reasons behind your actions and behavior will be what drives self-progress. This can be really hard and challenging to do, you have to be brutally honest with yourself here ‘What’s really blocking you from moving forward?’, is it low self-esteem, a fear of failure, or a lack of confidence?

2. What are your Goals, Life Passions & Strengths?

Consider the following questions:

  • What are your interests and passions?

  • What makes you happy and alive?

  • What motivates you the most, and why?

  • What would you fight for regardless of the challenges you face?

3. Create a roadmap toward your goals

What is it you want to accomplish? Make sure the goal is worded so that it is:

  • Specific

  • Measurable

  • Action oriented

  • Results oriented

  • Time sensitive

Remember, a goal without a deadline is only a fantasy!

4. Set strong foundations for success

Your foundations can be built on the following:

  • The quality of your thinking is determined by your mindset.

  • What are the things that are most important to you?

  • Habits are regular rituals that help you stay on track.

  • Be around people who make you feel safe and supported.

5. Don’t be afraid to ask for help

Remember that you can't and shouldn't do everything on your own in life. Nobody expects you to always know everything and have all the answers. So, don't be too hard on yourself, and learn when it's appropriate to seek assistance.

If you need help, then get in contact with a professional coach! Through coaching, it will help you to discover your strengths, uncover your limiting beliefs and learn to navigate your personal and professional lives in a creative, fun, and inspiring way so that you can live your life to its fullest potential. If you're willing to seek assistance you will find you will achieve your goals quicker and be able to have someone who can support you with an unbiased opinion and be your support.
